Beginning Sept. 18, employers must use the revised I-9 form with a revision date of 07/17/17 N. From July 17–Sept. 17, they are permitted to use the previous form with a date of 11/14/16 N. The law includes language that any entity that employs health care providers or emergency responders that elect to exclude employees from emergency paid sick leave under the federal FFCRA health care provider exemption must provide the leave in California.
