Below is a list of local public health department orders related to vaccinations and masking which affect dental practices within their respective jurisdiction. Read your county’s order carefully to determine its applicability to your dental practice.
- Alameda County and Berkeley, Influenza Vaccination Order, effective each yearly influenza season as of Nov. 21, 2020 until it is rescinded, superseded or amended. Does not apply to private practice settings but is applicable to dental personnel who work in hospitals, outpatient medical clinics and other settings listed in the order.
- Los Angeles County, Respiratory Virus Season Health Officer Order. Does not apply to private practice settings but is applicable to dental personnel who work in hospitals and other settings listed in the order.
- Madera County, Influenza Vaccination Requirement for Healthcare Workers, effective each yearly influenza season (Nov. 1 to March 31) as of Nov. 1, 2022 until it is rescinded, superseded or amended.
- Pasadena City, Mandatory Annual Influenza and Updated COVID-19 Immunization Program, effective March 5, 2024 and each yearly respiratory virus season (Nov. 1 to April 30) until it is rescinded, superseded or amended.
- San Diego County, Order for Mandatory Influenza Vaccination or Masking of Healthcare Personnel. Does not apply to private practice settings but is applicable to dental personnel who work in hospitals, and other settings listed in the order.
- San Francisco, 2023 Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination of Health Care Personnel , 2023 Mandatory Masking of Personnel in Health Care and Jail Settings and Mandatory Influenza Vaccination of Health Care Workers. Does not apply to private practice settings but is applicable to dental personnel who work in hospitals, and other settings listed in the orders.
- Santa Clara County, Requiring Use of Face Masks in Patient Care Areas During Designated Winter Respiratory Virus Period (Nov. 1 to March 31)
