C.E. waiver extension gives California dental professionals until January 2022 to complete license renewal requirements

The Department of Consumer Affairs on July 26 issued a waiver that gives all California-licensed dental professionals whose active licenses expire between March 31, 2020, and Sept. 30, 2021, until Jan. 26, 2022, to meet license renewal requirements.

It's that time of year: Are you prepared to be audited by a dental benefit plan?

Every July, CDA Practice Support starts hearing from members who have received notice from a dental benefit plan about a forthcoming audit. CDA's dental benefits analyst explains the post-pay audit, when dentists must participate in the audit and dentists' right to appeal the findings.

Three Keys to Website Accessibility
Webinar 5:30-6:30 p.m. on July 27
Hosted by WEO Media Three keys to website accessibility: July 27 webinar will help dentists comply with Americans with Disabilities Act

A dental practice’s website is a public accommodation and service and is therefore subject to AwDA requirements, meaning the website must be accessible to people with disabilities. A July 27 webinar will cover all that dentists need to know.

ADA Continuing Education Recognition Program (CERP)

CDA is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.

CDA designates each activity for a specified number of C.E. units. These courses meet the Dental Board of California requirements for continuing education units.
