This course meets the requirements set forth by the Dental Board of California to renew a professional dental license.
This course is designed to provide the most-up-to-date information, using the latest technology, to create a dynamic, informative and interesting presentation. We have combined both topics to satisfy requirements in one easy-to-understand presentation.
The infection control portion of this program will provide participants with the latest infection control concepts for lowering the number of pathogens, stopping the cycle of cross-contamination, disinfection and sterilization protocol and processes and the use of Universal and Standard Precautions. Additional topics will include exposure control plan, chemical surface disinfectants, hand-washing techniques, dental waterline guidelines, personal protective wear and step-by-step procedures to alleviate patient concerns regarding infection control practices within an office. This seminar meets the C.E. requirements specific to CCR section 1005, the Dental Board of California Infection Control Regulations.
The California Dental Practice Act segment of this seminar meets the C.E. requirements for California Dental Practice Act education and will discuss information and updates to the Dental Practice Act regulations and other statutory mandates relating to the dental practice, including ethical and behavioral principles. This includes utilization and scope of practice for dentists and auxiliaries, laws governing the prescribing of drugs, requirements for the renewal of a license, Injury and Illness Prevention Plan, advertising guidelines and citations, fines, revocation and suspension acts that violate the Dental Practice Act.
